A stick of nutrients coated with iron — an element that often becomes insufficient in an aquarium substrate over time. Aquatic plants such as Echinodorus and Cryptocoryne absorb most of their necessary nutrients through their roots rather than the water column. When the substrate lacks sufficient nutrients, these plants can suffer from whitening or other growth problems.
Iron Bottom is an easily applied fertiliser supplement that provides the essential elements needed for proper aquatic plant growth. In solid stick form, it contains a balanced blend of nutrients and is coated with trace elements, particularly iron.
The slowly dissolving sticks maintain a gentle, constant supply of nutrients over time — especially important for long-term plant care and to help avoid whitening. A Long type is also available, designed for layouts with larger plants or thicker substrate depths.

How To Use
Insert sticks into the substrate near the base/root zone of root-feeding plants. Use in combination with a liquid fertiliser routine to cover both root-feeding and water-column-feeding plant species in the aquarium.
